  • We're Hiring: Admin Support Officer Position

    We are seeking a skilled Administrative Support Officer to join our team in a casual capacity starting May 2025.

    The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining our organization's operational efficiency, managing administrative systems, databases, and records.

    The position involves supporting the board, staff, group coordinators, and members and requires someone who can work independently while delivering exceptional service.

    Leneva Castle Creek Landcare are excited to host local educator Karen Retra for a fascinating presentation on two important native pollinator insects - blue-banded and teddy bear bees.

    The presentation will be followed by a Leneva Castle Creek Landcare project planning session for 2025.
    Come along and get involved in determining which projects will be the priority for LCC Landcare this year.

    Join Wodonga Urban Landcare Network for the first Gardens for Wildlife – Albury Wodonga event of the year!

    We’re lucky to be joined by Associate Professor Melanie Massaro from Charles Sturt University. As a teacher of ornithology, conservation and ecology, Melanie has a wealth of knowledge and an incredible passion for all things birds.

    Join Elders from Duduroa Dhargal Aboriginal Corporation and Ben Humphries from BirdLife Australia for an evening exploring country at the wetland in David Winterbottom Park, Wodonga.

    Healthy Hectares Information Session, Wangaratta

    Thurs 6 March @ 7 pm - 8 pm

    If you are a new or small landholder and are curious about sustainable land management but are unsure about how to apply it to your property the Healthy Hectares program is for you! Come along to our free information session to learn more.

    What is Healthy Hectares? This is a fabulous program of six workshops on property planning. biodiversity, soils, pastures, pest plants and animals and water, held over seven months, commencing in April. With a mix of theory and practical sessions you will grow your knowledge, build a compendium of resources and make connections with a range of experts and other like minded community members and you will develop your property plan throughout the course of the workshop series.

    Grounds for change: Planning your environmental restoration project

    Sun 23 March @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Leneva

    If you are keen to embark on an environmental restoration project but don't know where to start, this workshop can help!

    Join Sue Brunskill, experienced bush regenerator and educator, to help guide you through a process to get you started on your next project. Whether you are looking to restore your own land or feeling the need to take on stewardship of a block of public land, this workshop will give you a framework and things to consider before you get started.

    Restoring Roosting Refuges – a new four-year project

    Parklands Albury Wodonga is excited to announce a new four-year ‘Restoring Roosting Refuges’ project that will focus on the restoration of two Murray River islands with the goal of increasing roosting habitat for the vulnerable grey-headed flying-fox.

    The ‘Restoring Roosting Refuges’ project will protect 11 km of river frontage on Browns Island, which is bordered by the Murray River and Wodonga Creek, and Turtle Island to the north.
