WULN Awareness Table at Bunnings Spring Launch – EOI’s
We have an opportunity to hold an “awareness table” at Bunnings Spring Launch on the 10th October. We recently held a stall at White Box Rise and it was a great opportunity to connect with the general community and chat to people who may not have connected previously with Landcare about who we are and what we do.
More details to come about exact times etc but at this stage we are just seeking EOI’s for members who are keen to help host a stall and promote all of our groups and activities. If you would like to help out for an hour or so on the 10th October please contact lily@wodongalandcare.org.au indicating if you would prefer mornings or afternoons, so we can prepare a roster.
Illegal Activities around Wodonga
There have been a spate of illegal firewood collection, motorbike and e bike hoons (causing damage to parks and reserves) and general vandalism activities around Wodonga. This also includes the theft of our defibrillator from a Project SROUT planting site, which as a $2,000 piece of equipment is a hugely disappointing action from a member of the community. For firewood collection it appears to be one main perpetrator who can be aggressive. Please don’t approach but if you can provide date, time, location and description of activities being undertaken, make, model and rego of vehicle and only if safe to do so please take a photo and send to Wodonga Council info@wodonga.vic.gov.au or call 000 for crimes in progress. Perhaps collectively we can make a difference to slowing this sort of behaviour.
Wodonga Council Community Funding Request Program – now open!
The program provides annual funding opportunities for eligible community groups and non-profit organisations to support initiatives that strengthen community wellbeing.
Funding is now offered across three streams:
- Community Impact Grants – up to $10,000
- Sponsorship – up to $3000
- Donation – up to $1000
The annual Community Impact Grant stream is now open and will close September 1, 2026, with a total funding pool of $100,000. This stream does not support operational or multi-year requests and early initiation of your application is encouraged.
