We’re thrilled to announce that Wodonga Heart Football Club has officially joined the WULN network as an associate member!
Heart players are lucky enough to train and play at Willow Park, where platypus splash in House Creek and birdlife fills the trees. Now they’re giving back to the park that gives so much to them.
Inspired by a planting day with Friends of Willow Park as part of Project SPROUT in 2025, Heart has formed their own Landcare group to tackle weeds, stabilise creek banks, and get more native plants in the ground, with working bees that fit around sporting schedules and busy family and work lives.
Club President Ryan Harris put it beautifully “the team is proud of their connection to Willow Park and committed to leaving a positive, lasting impact on the community and environment they call home”.
And a special shoutout to Rhi, the groups coordinator, from both Heart and WULN, whose passion and dedication made this partnership happen.
With one of the biggest junior programs in the area, Heart isn’t just raising the next generation of soccer players, they’re also raising the next generation of Landcarers!
