Growing Healthy Communities Grant

Closing Date: October 30, 2025

Grants up to $150K for projects supporting young Victorians and their families to live healthier lives.

Funding is available for organisations that support young Victorians (0-25 years) and their families to achieve good health and wellbeing.

Initiatives will be funded for a maximum of 2 years and must be delivered between March 2026 and March 2028.

In addition to funding, VicHealth will also facilitate capability building for recipients by connecting them with like-minded leaders, sharing valuable insights, and providing tools, training and support.

What is the funding for?

Funding can be used to scale, grow or improve existing initiatives, or pilot new ideas that help break down the barriers for children, young people (aged 0–25) and their families to be as healthy as possible.

Applications must respond to one of the following challenges:

  • Creating opportunities to participate in sport and active recreation across Victorian neighbourhoods, leading to benefits for active living, mental wellbeing and belonging.
  • Strengthening local food systems by creating new or improved places for communities to access, procure, grow and share healthy, local and culturally appropriate fresh foods.

See the grant information for more about the types of funding available and how to apply.

Applications close 30 October 2025
