I am sad to announce that Lizette Salmon our Gardens 4 Wildlife Project Officer will be leaving us at the end of 2024 to allow her to spend more time with family. WULN and the broader Albury Wodonga Community have benefited from Lizette’s passion and enthusiasm for the Gardens 4 Wildlife program which has seen extraordinary growth in the past 6 1/2 years that she has been at the helm. Lizette has developed and managed a broad range of projects and events, developed a range of resource materials and attracted fascinating and knowledgable presenters to our community. All of Lizette’s projects have been extremely well received and successful.
Lizette, you will be missed by staff, committee, our volunteers and our partners.
I am excited to announce that we have engaged Rhiannon Khoury as our new Gardens 4 Wildlife Project Officer who commenced on Tuesday 8th October and will be delivering the Climate Resilient Planting project under the Gardens 4 Wildlife banner. Lizette has kindly offered to work alongside Rhiannon for this project up to the end of the year when she will take on the full Gardens 4 Wildlife role. Rhiannon comes to us with skills as a field ecologist, community engagement and education practitioner and also has skills in event and volunteer management as well as partnership development and management. We are very excited to welcome Rhiannon to the team.
Please join me in welcoming Rhiannon to WULN. Rhiannon can be contacted on rhiannon@wodongalandcare.org.au.
