Victorian Landcare Awards 2024

It was truly inspiring for staff, committee and partners of Wodonga Urban Landcare Network to be part of the 2024 Victorian Landcare Awards at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on the 18th July.

Wodonga Urban Landcare Network was nominated in the Australian Government Community Partnerships Landcare Award and was Highly Commended in the awards process. We are thrilled to have been acknowledged for demonstrated leadership and achievement in landcare-related activities as a result of working in partnership with others in our community.

Congratulations also to Rowan Wallace from Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups who has been commended for the Joan Kirner Landcare Award acknowledging her significant contribution to Landcare over 10 years.

Also Commended in the First Nations Landcare Collaboration Award was the Warby Range Landcare Group and Bangerang Aboriginal Corporation.

Today’s ceremony reinforced that there are so many amazing individuals and groups working in the Landcare space all kicking goals and making a difference. Today was a great opportunity to reflect on the outstanding movement that is Landcare. A big shout out and congratulations to all Victorian Landcarers!

We look forward to continuing to work with our dedicated volunteer groups, our existing partners and creating new partnerships to grow environmental stewardship in Wodonga!
