Noticing Nature: Events During the Great Southern Bioblitz

The Great Southern Bioblitz is on again!  This annual event is a terrific way to explore, observe, and document local biodiversity. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or just curious about the world around you, your participation is a chance to learn and to share what you find.

This year the GSB observation period runs between Friday, 20 September to Monday, 23 September.
Use your phone or camera to photograph or record what you find and share them using the iNaturalist app or website.

We’re hosting a series of events in Wodonga as part of this year’s bioblitz, including guided slow walks, a moth night and workshops for using iNaturalist.

Can’t make it to these organised activities? No worries! You can still participate by making independent observations throughout the bioblitz period. Every plant, animal, or fungus you document adds to our collective knowledge and can help to inform action.

So, grab your camera or smartphone, and add some local spring nature records during the Bioblitz.

Events have limited places, so please register if you’d like to attend.
