Following on from the special general meeting where WULN’s new constitution was adopted, we are now calling for nominations for the new Board.
WULN is governed by a voluntary management Board elected by the Network and consists of no more than nine persons, with a minimum of five persons. The Board is the front line of Network governance, enabling the day-to-day functioning of the Network, ensuring the Network’s legal and financial obligations are met and supporting WULN to pursue its vision and mission. WULN exists to:
- support, inspire and bring together a network of active steward groups that work. effectively and co-operatively with all stakeholders to enhance and protect the natural environment of the Wodonga municipality.
- promote appreciation and awareness of our natural environment amongst Member Groups and the broader community.
- Support the growth and sustainability of Member Groups.
- Facilitate partnerships with other key stakeholders in order to achieve a whole-of-community approach to the planning and management of the natural environment.
- Establish and maintaining a Public Fund to be called Wodonga Urban Landcare Network Fund for the specific purpose of supporting the environmental purposes of the Association.
- Establish and managing one or more social enterprises dedicated to the Association’s principal purpose.
The Board will make key decisions about planning, resources, and strategic direction of WULN. We need you to help shape the direction of Landcare in Wodonga. If you have skills in human resource management, finance and business management, environment, law, marketing, IT, leadership, volunteer management, business or strategic planning then please consider nominating for our Board that will have both skills based and member representatives.
Nominations are now open and our Board election will be held at our AGM on the 27th November 2024.
