David Winterbottom Park extends on the western side of Huon Creek from Yarralumla Dr to the junction of Huon and House Creeks.

Volunteers have been developing the park and reserve area for over 10 years with establishment of paths and a large number of native plantings. Floods caused serious damage during 2022 and 2023 and this has created a new set of challenges and changed our focus.

Our current projects include ongoing plantings and path restoration work in both the park and Reserve areas.

Included in the volunteer managed area are the plantings either side of the concrete pathway and the Indigenous path and plantings both at the Yarralumla Dr end of the park, the surrounds of the informal path in the Reserve area and plantings along and in the vicinity of the pathway from Yarralumla Dr to the Huon and House Creek junction.
David Winterbottom Park is an integral part of Wodonga City Pathways Network and sees high usage from walkers, runners and cyclists.

The continuous improvement of this area is greatly appreciated by the local community and volunteers can take pride in whatever contribution they are able to make.

Our regular working bees tend to be on a Monday morning but our group enjoys flexibility of work when required and when helpers are available.

Working bees always include a tea break and participants enjoy this social element as well.
