Have You Seen a Bogong Moth?

Zoos Victoria want to hear from you! Zoos Victoria is tracking Endangered Bogong Moths as they migrate across the nation to the alpine regions this spring. With numbers critically low, your sightings of Bogong Moths could help scientists work out what’s happening to this vital species. Bogong Moths play an important role in the ecosystem – including as a key spring food source for the Critically Endangered Mountain Pygmy-possum.

If you see a Bogong Moth, take a photo and upload it to the Moth Tracker website.

Remember, Bogong Moths can be found day or night, and you don’t necessarily need to go out exploring to find them! They can show up in places like on your windows, front doors or in your garden- you just have to keep an eye out.
