You are warmly invited to join the Friends of Willow Park for a special community celebration marking the official presentation of a stunning new walkway mural created by renowned Wiradjuri elder and local artist, Uncle David Dunn

Where: Willow Park – Pearce Street Bridge end (southern entry)
Uncle David’s latest masterpiece, titled ‘I Spy’, was completed during one of the hottest summers on record and celebrates the theme of Caring for Country and Community. The event will feature a diverse range of speakers, including:
– Uncle David Dunn, delivering a Welcome to Country and sharing the meaning behind the artwork
– Representatives from the local police force, speaking about the significance of Uncle David’s Indigenous designs on two local police vehicles
– Karen Wallis-Smythe, Wodonga Council Events Officer, introducing the Public Albury Wodonga Art Trail
During the mural’s creation, Uncle David invited community members to write their names and messages for future generations along the top of the wall. This gesture has inspired many passers-by—skateboarders, cyclists, joggers, families, and walkers—who use the House Creek crossing at the Pearce Street entrance to Willow Park.
The Friends of Willow Park are proud to bring this vibrant cultural addition to Albury Wodonga, supported by Wodonga Council and generous community donations.
