Join us for the Great Southern Bioblitz (#GSB25 ) – a four-day citizen science event where people across the Southern Hemisphere record as many living things as possible using the free iNaturalist app. Every observation helps build knowledge about our local biodiversity and contributes to global science.
Whether you’re out exploring your backyard, wandering in a local park or reserve, or joining a guided event, everyone can take part!
We’re keen to add Albury-Wodonga nature records to this year’s bioblitz.
How to get involved
Anywhere, anytime (24–27 Oct):
Download the free iNaturalist app (or use the website) and upload your sightings. Every photo counts – from backyard birds and beetles to wildflowers and fungi along your favourite bush track.
BioBlitz events in Wodonga
Join us for an iNaturalist information session, to dive into getting to know iNaturalist or extend your knowledge ahead of the BioBlitz.

Come along to one of our in-person activities during the 4-days of the BioBlitz!
These are a great way to connect with others, learn, and explore nature together.

Sat 25 October, 7pm – 9pm - Bears Hill nature walk
