We were delighted with the response and had fun attending both days of Gardenesque, held in Albury Botanic Gardens on March 8th and 9th, with our stall showcasing Gardens for Wildlife Albury-Wodonga and WULN.
We had the amazing privilege of sharing the space with Our Native Garden Nursery and Birds on Farms Southern NSW.This meant there was triple the knowledge, plenty of great chats and the opportunity for the public to connect with all three organisations in the one space.
Highlights:
Highlights:
- We connected with people about local landcare and had great conversations about WULN’s story, how to get on board and what people are interested in.
- We celebrated our Gardens for Wildlife program highlighting our Plant Me Instead project, as well as how to create a wildlife friendly garden.
- We gave away 100 plants generously donated by Nordcon to help people on their journey to get planting.
- A visit from Jamie Durie to our stall!
A big thank you to our wonderful volunteers – Elizabeth, Bill, Heather, Christine and Erin. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you again to ONG, Birds on Farms Southern NSW and event hosts Albury City Council. See you next year.
