WULN is governed by a voluntary management Board elected by the Network and consists of no more than nine persons, with a minimum of five persons.
The Board are seeking passionate, dedicated people to join the board and help guide WULN’s future. As a board member, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping strategic decisions, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and helping WULN to make a real difference to the environment. We are looking for diverse perspectives and expertise and people with any of the following skills: governance, financial, business, policy, strategic planning, HR, IT.
Board members are nominated for a three-year term with one-third rotating each year. Nominations are put forward for election by the members at the annual general meeting and can be made using this nomination form.
Board members may be either from WULN member groups or from outside the network.
External nominees are required to submit a one-page expression of interest describing why they are interested in the role and what they bring to the role, including:
• Any previous governance experience
• Any previous roles with a not-for-profit charity
• Ability to leverage networks relevant to the work of WULN
• Previous experience in organisational leadership
• Qualifications and/or experience relevant to WULN’s purpose and activities
