Friends of Federation Hill
Friends of Federation Hill are dedicated locals that have been working to improve the hill’s biodiversity and its value to the community. In 2022 the group tackled restoration of the dam located on the northern side of Federation Hill, near Barton Street which is now been fenced off from grazing and planted out with natives. The area is being restored to provide habitat for wildlife and humans alike!

Friends of Ewart Brothers Reserve Community Planting Day & nature walk
Sunday 28th July, 10-12.30pm
Join us for a community planting day and enjoy a guided nature walk in the heart of Wodonga!
These plantings along House Creek are a community led project restoring native habitat following the removal of woody weeds in 2023-24.
Our walk will explore the plants and wildlife that thrive in urban environments, plants that threaten these ecosystems, what our “Friends of” group is working on, and why this benefits us all.
Learn about the importance of preserving urban biodiversity and enjoy the peacefulness of nature in the heart of Wodonga.
