Hello Members, Staff, Board and Associate Members,
It’s great to be receiving communications from Friends of Wodonga Landcare who have started their plantings for 2025. Some great before and after shots have been received and we value the work that members of this group are undertaking on both private and public land. The remainder of WULN’s groups are gearing up for the commencement of our Project Sprout planting week and I would like to acknowledge the huge amount of work being undertaken to pick up plants, gather materials and prepare sites. I’m looking forward to catching up with you all on your patch!

Project Sprout and planting event updates
Thank you to all the group coordinators and members for your assistance with logistics for Project Sprout.

For more information on the project check out Project Sprout news and a reminder that stakes and guards are available to collect at Wodonga Council depot. Please present at the office and you will be directed to the pick up area and plants will be available to collect from Our Native Garden Nursery this Friday from 10am -12pm and Saturday from 10am -1pm

Banksia ericifolia available
The green thumbs at David Winterbottom Park have been propagating Banksia ericifolia. They have around 100 plants in 6″ pots which are surplus to needs. If you’d like any of these for your patch please get in contact with Neil 0434 253 978 or David 0427 563 484

Partnership against Pests
We have successfully delivered fantastic workshops on rabbit and pig control in peri urban areas and our final workshop on vertebrate pests with a spotlight on foxes is coming up. For more info please see the post below.
Membership renewals released
WULN’s support for memberships continues and renewal notices have been sent. Please follow the instructions to renew your individual (unincorporated groups) or group membership (incorporated groups) for another 12 months.
For co-ordinators please encourage those in your group who have been involved or attending regular working bees and have not yet become members to take the plunge and join here
